Privacy policy

Effective 22 August 2026

Bloom is designed to work without an account. When you use the local journal, your beans, brews, recipes, gear, tasting notes, and photos are stored on your device.

Information we process

  • Local journal data: information you enter remains in your browser unless you enable Bloom Sync.
  • Account and sync data: if you sign in, we process account identifiers and the journal records and photos needed to sync your devices and provide cloud backup.
  • Payments: subscription checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. Bloom does not store your full payment-card details.
  • AI autofill: when a member chooses autofill, the selected bean-bag image is sent for analysis. The suggested details are shown for review before you save them.
  • Service data: our hosting and authentication services may process limited technical information needed for security, reliability, and operation.

How we use information

We use information only to provide the journal, authentication, subscriptions, sync, backup, photo storage, AI autofill, security, and support; and to diagnose and improve the service. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

You can use Bloom locally without an account, choose whether to enable Sync or AI autofill, edit or remove journal entries in the app, and cancel a subscription through account management. Cancelling stops future Sync service but does not remove the journal already on your device.

Changes

We may update this policy as Bloom changes. The effective date above will identify the current version.
